Officers suspended in Native sex abuse scandal

Two Royal Canadian Mounted Police officers in British Columbia have been suspended as a result of an investigation into the sexual abuse of Native girls.

The officers are accused of having sex with underage Native girls while stationed in Prince George, a northern city near dozens of First Nations.

The incident came to light during an investigation into former Prince George judge David Ramsay, who was sentenced to seven years for sexually assaulting Native girls, some of whom appeared before him in court. The RCMP later acknowledged it didn't follow up on allegations related to Ramsay and the abuse of Native girls.
