The state of South Dakota is wrapping up its second annual Indian education summit today.
Gov. Mike Rounds (R) gave the keynote address on Monday. He said the best solutions to improve Indian education come from the local level.
According to the state, 86 percent of Indian children attend public schools on and off the reservation.
