The Senate Indian Affairs Committee has scheduled hearings on off-reservation gaming, Indian health, federal recognition and regulation of the Indian gaming industry. The schedule is as follows:
April 5 - To consider S.113, a bill to force a California to seek state and federal approval before opening an off-reservation casino in the Bay Area.
April 13 - Oversight hearing on Indian health.
April 21 - Oversight hearing on federal recognition, according to the Associated Press.
April 27 - Oversight hearing on the regulation of Indian gaming.
