Navajos in Shiprock, New Mexico, say their dream of homeownership has turned into a nightmare.
Navajos say they were told they would own the homes by paying mortgages. But now they have been told they are actually renting the properties, and that the rent is being raised.
The Navajos accuse the Fort Defiance Housing Corporation of mismanaging the housing project. They say their questions are going unanswered and that their homes units haven't been maintained properly.
