President Bush on Tuesday signed a bill that takes 85 acres of land into trust for the Barona Band of Mission Indians.
The tribe will use the land to construction a pipeline to bring water to its casino and golf course.
The land is located between the existing reservation and a reservoir.
The deal has some officials in San Diego County worried. They have accused the tribe of stealing water from local landowners. The tribe was cited for illegal grading for the pipeline.
The provision was included in the Native American Technical Corrections Act of 2003.
