Center will serve as tribe's justice department

The Shoshone-Bannock Tribes of Idaho is moving forward with plans for a tribal justice center.

The center will house three courtrooms, all court documents, the law enforcement unit and a jail. The current jail is about 30 years old and in need of repair.

The project is expected to cost $11 to $12 million. The tribes are contributing $4 million and are working with Congress to secure the rest.
