A judge's order freezing the assets of lobbyist Jack Abramoff and his wife has been lifted, Forward Newspaper reports.

The order was issued in a lawsuit filed by former employees of a Jewish school that Abramoff opened. The ex-teachers say Abramoff hasn't paid them for their work at Eshkol School. They also said Capital Athletic Foundation, one of Abramoff's charitable groups, "was used to launder funds from the tribes to Eshkol."

During a Senate hearing last week, representatives of the Tigua Tribe of Texas said Abramoff asked if the Eshkol School could take life insurance policies on tribal elders. The school would be paid when the elders died.
