Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) claimed victory on Wednesday after Democrat Tony Knowles conceded the U.S. Senate race.
Not all the votes are counted but Murkowski maintains a four-point lead over Knowles. The latest tally shows 121,027, or 49 percent, for Murkowski and 110,699, or 45 percent, for Knowles.
Murkowski sits on the Senate Indian Affairs Committee. She was appointed by her father, Gov. Frank Murkowski, to the Senate.
