The Ione Band of Miwok Indians is warning another tribe not to try to acquire land in Contra Costa County, California.

The Ione Band says the Guidiville Band of Pomos have no right to seek land in the county. "We wish the Guidiville folks the best of luck to put up a casino, just not in Contra Costa County," Joan Villa, an Ione council member told The San Francisco Chronicle. "Go back to where they were from."

Michael Derry, an executive for the Guidiville Band, says the tribe is used to the Ione Band's complaints. "We're not surprised about it, but also not bothered about it," he told the paper.

The Guidiville Band is looking for land for a casino and resort. The Ione Band says the proposed site is sacred.
