Bureau of Indian Affairs head Dave Anderson is being sued by former business partners over a new restaurant he helped open.
Patricia and Timothy Buffham say Anderson owes them $1.3 million for construction costs at the Kokomo's Island Cafe at the Mall of America. The cafe is located next to a Famous Dave's barbeque franchise.
A construction company also filed suit, saying it hasn't been paid. Zeman Construction named Anderson in its claim for $469,290.
A judge in Minnesota has sent the Buffham's suit into arbitration. The couple plans to pursue the claim there.
