A Canadian man accused of murdering American Indian Movement activist Anna Mae Pictou-Aquash says he won't get a fair trial if extradited to the United States.

John Graham, a member of the Southern Tuchone First Nation in the Yukon Territory, criticized a U.S. jury for convicting Arlo Looking Cloud of Aquash's December 1975 murder. But he also refuted Looking Cloud's claim that he shot Aquash.

Graham is free on bond until March 1. He says he will fight extradition. Supporters of his case include AIM leaders. A defense committee has been set up to publicize the cause.
