Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe ready to break ground on $40 million casino expansion

The Jamestown S’Kallam Tribe will be starting work soon on a long-awaited expansion of its casino in Washington.

A groundbreaking at the 7 Cedars Casino is planned for sometime in February, The Sequim Gazette reported. Work is expected to be complete by the spring of 2020.

“This thing is going to move fast,” Chairman Ron Allen told local business leaders last week, the paper reported.

The expansion includes a five-story hotel tower, adding another 100 rooms to the casino. There will be conference and meeting spaces on the ground floor, the paper said.

The work is part of a longer-term expansion of the facility.
