Seminole Tribe reports arrest in theft from casino patron

Police from the Seminole Tribe quickly arrested a woman who allegedly stole $60,000 worth of cash and property from a casino patron, The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.

The man was staying at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood when he was approached this past Tuesday by a woman who offered him a massage, the paper said. She allegedly took $10,000 in cash, $6,100 in poker chips and a $50,000 watch from his room after the encounter.

But thanks to surveillance footage, tribal police were able to see Cassidy Reign Paris, 30, leaving the casino in a rental car that was equipped with a GPS device, the paper reported. She was arrested just a few miles away.

“Surveillance video is everywhere,” spokesperson Gary Bitner told the paper. “And combined with a GPS tracker on a rental car, police were able to arrest her the same day.”

According to the Broward County Sheriff's Office, Paris is facing a charge of grand theft.
