The
Cahuilla Band of Indians broke ground on a brand new gaming facility in southern California last month.
The
Cahuilla Casino will be replaced by an entirely new complex. The casino will sport a much larger gaming floor and there will be a 57-room hotel on the property for the first time, according to a
press release.
"The new Cahuilla Casino & Hotel will feature an expanded gaming floor featuring both slot and table games with a contemporary restaurant and open bar plus the addition of an all-new 57 room hotel," an
October 30 post on Facebook read.
The new facility is expected to open by the end of 2019. The existing casino will remain operational throughout construction.
The casino opened in 1996. It's located in Anza, about 30 miles east of Temecula.
The complex includes a travel center with a gas station and convenience store.
