The
Table Mountain Rancheria has announced plans for a brand new casino on its reservation in California, bringing a hotel to the property for the first time.
According to an
environmental evaluation, the
Table Mountain Casino will be closed to make way for the new development. Plans call for a 549,294 square-foot facility with a 151-room hotel at a property next door.
“We want to build a facility that will sustain us for generations to come,” Dan Casas, the tribe’s legal counsel, told The Business Journal.
The tribe will hold a public hearing on June 28 to discuss the project. Written comments can also be sent in through that date.
The Table Mountain Casino celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2017. The building will be converted for tribal government use once the new project is up and running.
The casino is located in Friant, about 25 miles northeast of Fresno.
