The
Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians is building an outdoor entertainment and camping venue next to its casino in southern California.
The
Coachella Crossroads at the
Spotlight 29 Casino will feature concerts and other events, according to news reports. The space is also home to
Village 29, a camping ground and recreational vehicle space aimed at people who attend popular music festivals in the area.
Village 29 has been offering some services since last year, according to its
Facebook page. But additional amenities are due to open in April, in time for
Coachella and the
Stagecoach Festival.
The Coachella Crossroads is expected to open in this summer. The site is only a few miles from the grounds where the upcoming festivals are held.
The tribe also operates the
Tortoise Rock Casino on a different portion of its land base.
