A Washington woman is facing charges after allegedly leaving her baby alone in a car while she gambled at the casino owned by the
Stillaguamish Tribe.
Tribal police officers responded to the
Angel of the Winds Casino early Friday morning after patrons heard a baby crying, The Everett Herald reported. They found the infant, a girl, alone in an unlocked car, the paper said.
The 27-year-old mother had been inside gambling for at least 17 minutes, the paper reported, citing surveillance footage from the facility. She was arrested and jailed in Snohomish County on allegations of criminal mistreatment and abandoning a dependent person, according to the paper.
The woman's name hasn't been reported.
