The Bureau of Indian Affairs approved the land-into-trust application for the 166-acre site last November. Unlike the one for the tribe's first casino in Michigan, which opened 10 years ago this month, no lawsuits have been filed to block the acquisition. The tribe operates three casinos under the Four Winds name. All are located within the tribe's service area, which was defined by Congress through the Pokagon Restoration Act of 1994 and which covers 10 counties in Michigan and Indiana.
