Nottawaseppi Huron Band promotes from within for top casino job

The
Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi
announced a familiar face as the chief executive officer for its casino in Michigan.
Kathy George
, a citizen of the
Seneca Nation
, has worked at the
FireKeepers Casino Hotel
as general manager and vice president for hotel operations for more than five years. She's now taking over the top post at the facility.
“Kathy George brings a wealth of talent and commitment to excellence to her new role on the FireKeepers team,” Chairman Jamie Stuck said in a
press release
on Monday.
George has more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality and gaming industry, MLive reported. Prior to coming to FireKeepers, she worked for her tribe's gaming enterprise in New York.
