Of the amount, $2,195,656.19 is going to governments and schools in Isabella County. That's where the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort is located.

The remaining $807,798.48 is going to Arenac County and Northern Bay County. The communities are served by the Saganing Eagles Landing Casino.

"The tribal council takes great pride in being able to award over three million dollars to our local schools and governments this fall," Chief Frank Cloutier said in a press release. "We remain committed to maximizing these dollars by making sure that the impacts can be felt by members in all communities."

The tribe shares 2 percent of its Class III gaming revenues with local communities twice a year. The fall 2015 payment was $2.95 million so the new payment represents an increase in business at both casinos.
