September is going to be a big month for the Eastern Shoshone Tribe of Wyoming.

The Shoshone Rose Casino in Lander is celebrating its 9th anniversary on September 17. That's a milestone in itself but the facility is also debuting a new hotel on September 30.

That's when the new name for the facility -- the Shoshone Rose Casino and Hotel -- becomes official. Reservations are already being accepted for stays at the 61-room hotel, which includes a pool.

“We just can’t wait to open the doors, and get everybody out here,” Mary Johnson, the marketing manager at the casino, said in a press release. “It’s really exciting watching it come from the ground up.”

The hotel is part of a $30 million expansion at the casino. The project includes a new gaming floor, a business center, a coffee/snack bar and extended hours at the Deka Guy Hee restaurant.
