Santa Ana Pueblo in New Mexico is breaking ground on a $50 million casino expansion project. The Santa Ana Star Casino will finally see a hotel. Plans for a hotel had been scrapped during the national economic recession. “This expansion is an investment in our people and in our future,” Governor Myron Armijo said in a press release. “We are proud to begin this next chapter and continue building a responsible, innovative business that will benefit our children and our children’s children for many decades to come.” Work will start this month and will take two years to complete.
