The Forest County Potawatomi Tribe of Wisconsin named Hartford Shegonee as the general manager of its casino. Shegonee is a former chairman of the tribe who was instrumental in the debut of the Potawatomi Hotel and Casino in Milwaukee in 1991. The facility was the first off-reservation facility to be approved under the two-part determination provisions of the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act of 1988. Shegonee, who currently serves as vice chair of the executive council, will succeed Mike Goodrich, a tribal member who was general manager of the casino for 14 years. Goodrich helped the facility celebrate its 25th anniversary last month. Get the Story:
