A police officer from Laguna Pueblo in New Mexico was involved in a fatal shooting in the parking lot of the tribe's flagship casino. The incident occurred early Thursday morning, according to news reports.. One person died and another fled the Route 66 Casino Hotel west of Albuquerque. The officer was shot during the encounter and suffered a "non life threatening injury," the FBI in Albuquerque wrote on Twitter. The agency is helping the tribe investigate the incident.
