The Cowlitz Tribe is creating more than 1,200 construction and permanent jobs at its long-awaited casino in Washington. Construction is supporting about 250 jobs, The Longview Daily News reported. The casino itself will employ 1,000 people at full build out, the paper said. The tribe will be announcing a name for the $500 million casino this summer, the paper reported. The 368,000 square-foot facility will feature 100,000 square-feet of gaming space with 2,500 slots and 80 gaming tables, 15 restaurants, bars and retail outlets and a 2,500-seat meeting and entertainment venue. The casino is expected to open in the spring of 2017. A hotel will be added at a later date. Get the Story:
