The Chehalis Tribe of Washington has temporarily closed its casino due to flooding conditions.

The Lucky Eagle Casino will be reopening "as soon as possible," a post on Facebook stated. Local roads remain impassable after heavy rains in the area.

The facility, though, is being put to good use. Tribal members who have been displaced by flooding are staying at the hotel there.

“At least they’re above the floodplain warm and safe,” Rodney Youckton, the CEO of Chehalis Tribal Enterprises, told The Centralia Chronicle. He said the tribe was most worried about its elders.
