Another casino is coming to northern New Mexico.

Nambe Pueblo will debut the Nambe Falls Casino in mid-December. It's going into an existing building along a major highway north of Santa Fe.

“We don’t intend to make new money,” Matt Doyle, the CEO of Development Services Group, a firm working with the tribe, told The Santa Fe Reporter. “We’re just carving out our niche and trying to get a piece of the market share that’s already out there.”

The area is home to five other tribal casinos along the same highway. The new facility is located only about a mile south of a much larger one owned by Pojoaque Pueblo.

The 7,310-square-foot casino will feature 180 slot machines. It's located adjacent to the Nambe Falls Travel Center along U.S. 84/285.
