The White Earth Nation of Minnesota might be building a third casino.

The tribe already operates the Shooting Star Casino in Mahnomen and is building a second one near Bagley. Both sites are located on the tribe's main reservation.

The new site could be located south of the reservation, where the tribe owns 14 acres of trust land, KFGO reported. But Chairwoman Erma Vizenor wouldn't confirm interest in a casino there although tribal leaders discussed it at a council meeting in February, according to the minutes.

The land is located near Star Lake in Otter Tail County, KFGO reported, although that information is redacted in the minutes from the meeting.
