The Tohono O'odham Nation and the state of Arizona will be back in court next week as part of a gaming lawsuit.

The tribe plans to open an initial structure at the West Valley Resort by the end of the year. The Department of Gaming, though, is refusing to certify the 45,000 square-foot facility and is warning vendors not to do business there.

The tribe is accusing Gov. Doug Ducey (R) and Attorney General Mark Brnovich (R), who used to lead the department, of interfering with the process. A court hearing on September 4 will help sort out the dispute.

The casino is located in Glendale, a suburb of Phoenix.
