The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut launched an online gaming site for consumers in New Jersey.

MoheganSunCasino.Com went live today. It offers patrons who are over 21 and based in the state a chance to win real money on virtual poker, blackjack and other games.

“The MTGA is thrilled to launch what we believe has raised the bar in online gaming and stays true to our commitment to luxury, leisure and best-in-class practices,” Bobby Soper, the president of the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority, said in a press release. “Our goal is for MoheganSunCasino.com to become the premier online destination for both serious gamers and those who simply want to relax and have fun."

Internet gaming is legal under New Jersey law. Operators must pay a 15 percent tax on revenues to the state.

The tribe manages the Resorts Casino Hotel, a commercial facility in Atlantic City.
