The Saginaw Chippewa Tribe will share more than $2. 7 million in gaming revenues with local governments in Michigan. The tribe will distribute $2,045,422.88 to Isabella County. Another $691,379.60 will go to Arenac County and northern Bay County. “Our tribal council is fully aware of the challenges with the state’s infrastructure and the condition of our local roads, that is why we felt it imperative this season to provide some relief by focusing on roads,” Chief Steve Pego said in a press release.

The tribe operates two casinos -- Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort and the Saganing Eagles Landing Casino. Twice a year, 2 percent of Class III gaming revenues are distributed to the community. Distributions will be made at two different events next week. Get the Story:
