The Bois Forte Band of Minnesota hired a new finance and business development director to replace a gaming executive who resigned under pressure last month. Jennifer Pontinen is working for the Bois Forte Development Corporation. The entity oversees the tribe's business entities, including the Fortune Bay Resort Casino. “We are pleased to have Jennifer on our team,” Chairman Kevin Leecy said in a statement, The Duluth News Tribune reported. “She will be a real asset as we continue to strengthen our existing businesses and explore new ventures.” Pontinen's predecessor, Gary Gotchnik, lost his gaming license and was suspended due to allegations of credit card misuse. He resigned and the tribe said it has referred the matter to federal prosecutors. Get the Story:
