A Florida man has been charged for passing counterfeit cash at a casino owned by the Seminole Tribe.

Bernardo Lecaros, 34, allegedly used $5,400 in counterfeit bills at the Seminole Classic Casino last month. He previously served a seven-month sentence for passing $6,300 at the same facility and at another tribal casino in 2012.

"All casinos find counterfeit money from time to time,"a tribal spokesperson told The South Florida Sun-Sentinel. "The situation is no worse at Seminole casinos, and it has not increased in recent months."

Authorities said Lecaros had another $37,800 in fake bills in a car that was parked in the casino lot.
