The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes of Montana announced a $27.4 million casino expansion and economic development project.

The tribe will be building an entirely new Gray Wolf Peak Casino in Evaro. The 40,000 square-foot facility will feature more gaming machines, a hotel with 70 rooms, spa facilities, a new restaurant and a lounge.

Additionally, the tribe is adding a bank, an recreational vehicle park and a convenience store in Evaro. Work is slated to begin in 2015.

"With this expansion, western Montana will receive better access to high-quality gaming entertainment with payouts that regularly reach higher than $500,000," the tribe said in a press release.

Evaro isn't the only location that will be seeing new investment either. The tribe also will spend $4 million to renovate the KwaTaqNuk Resort and Casino in Polson.
