Forest County Potawatomi Tribe debuts casino hotel next week

The Forest County Potawatomi Tribe of Wisconsin officially opens its new casino hotel on Monday.

The $97.5 million, 371,000 square-foot hotel at the Potawatomi Hotel & Casino features 381 rooms on 19 floors. It boasts 12,000 square-feet of meeting space, a 1,900-square-foot patio, a restaurant and a bar.

"Adding a hotel to this property will allow us to show our brand of exciting entertainment to a much wider audience," general manager Mike Goodrich said in a press release. "With the addition of lodging, our property will now be at the forefront of destination casinos. It will also serve as another reason for people to visit the Milwaukee area."

The casino, located in Milwaukee, opened in 1991.
