The day is almost here -- the Forest County Potawatomi Tribe of Wisconsin will open its casino hotel on August 18.

The $97.5 million, 371,000 square-foot hotel at the Potawatomi Hotel & Casino features 381 rooms on 19 floors. It features 12,000 square-feet of meeting space, a 1,900-square-foot patio, a restaurant and a bar.

“The rooms are gorgeous, but it’s the service that sets the place apart,” hotel director Hassan Abdel-Moneim told WISN.

Room rates will range from $150 to $250 a night. The 3,000 square-foot presidential suite can be reserved for $4,000 a night.

The hotel was built on non-trust land adjacent to the casino. The tribe will pay property and room taxes in Milwaukee.

The tribe hired 230 full-time and part-time workers for the hotel.
