The FBI and the Bureau of Indian Affairs are investigating a fatal shooting at the casino owned by the White Mountain Apache Tribe of Arizona.

A tribal police officer shot and killed a man who was brandishing a rifle in the parking lot at the Hon-Dah Resort and Casino. The man shot a security guard during the incident and a patron was also injured, possibly from bullet or glass fragments. Both were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, The White Mountain Independent reported.

The casino was closed and patrons weren't allowed in or out for a few hours. Traffic was also diverted away from the facility.

The identity of the shooter has not been released.
