Pojoaque Pueblo in New Mexico is moving forward with its Class III gaming procedures request. The tribe tried to negotiate a new compact with Gov. Susana Martinez (R). But talks fell apart over revenue sharing demands. The tribe followed up with a lawsuit in federal court, alleging Martinez was negotiating in bad faith. The case was dismissed due to the state's sovereign immunity. That means the tribe is eligible to request Class III gaming procedures from the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
