Clete Wetli, the chairman of the Madison County Democratic Party, criticizes Alabama Attorney General Luther Strange, a Republican, for a gaming lawsuit he filed against the Poarch Band of Creek Indians:
In another head-shaking example of futility, Alabama Attorney General Luther Strange has vowed to continue his quest to try to impose Alabama’s anti-gaming laws onto sovereign tribal lands owned by the Poarch Creek Indians. A federal judge recently said that any further challenge by Strange will ultimately lead to a legal dead-end for Alabama and another loss in court. Yet, Strange is determined to appeal endlessly despite the cost to taxpayers and the overwhelming judicial precedents that guarantee inevitable defeat. We’re all too familiar with “stuck on stupid”, but this is just... Strange. It’s kind of like the lawsuit he’s filed against California regarding the size of chicken cages and the humane treatment of animals.Get the Story:
