Snoqualmie Tribe no longer involved with gaming project in Fiji

The Snoqualmie Tribe of Washington is no longer involved in a casino project on the island nation of Fiji.

The tribe reached a partnership with the Fijian government in December 2011. But the project was slow to start and the tribe eventually withdrew from the deal.

The developer that won the license, however, has finally started construction. The casino is expected to open within 18 to 24 months, Radio New Zealand reports.
