The Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska hopes to take part in potential settlement talks over a commercial casino in Iowa. The tribe's proposal for the $122 million Warrior Casino & Hotel in downtown Sioux City was rejected by the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission in April 2013. Another jilted bidder is already suing, contending the process was unfair. "It was a three-horse race, and we need to be part of the solution," Ho-Chunk Inc. President and CEO Lance Morgan told The Sioux City Journal. Morgan said the tribe spent $1 million pursuing the project. Get the Story:
