Tribal Trac, a firm that provides background checks for tribal casinos, celebrated its launch on Wednesday.
Tribal Trac is billed as the first nationwide background check system. Tribes in California and Oklahoma have already signed up for its services.
"This is a one-of-a-kind, high-tech resource that allows tribes to share past employee history records as well as vendor and employee license information," Oscar Schuyler, a member of the
Oneida Nation of Wisconsin who serves as "ambassador" for Tribal Trac, said in a
press release. "Tribal regulators from across the country will be meeting and discussing the far-reaching, positive impact this innovation in Tribal gaming will have on the industry now and in the future. It really has been a long time coming.”
The launch was held during the
National Tribal Gaming Commissioner/Regulators conference, which is wrapping up in Oklahoma today.
