An electrical fire and, later, a power outage prompted an evacuation of the casino owned by the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi Indians in Michigan.

The fire occurred away from the gaming floor at the FireKeepers Casino and was quickly extinguished. But the tribe evacuated about 350 customers and employees out of caution around 7pm on Saturday.

The facility remained closed for a few more hours due to a subsequent power outage. It reopened around 11:30pm, WWMT reported. The hotel at the casino was not affected.
