The Tunica-Biloxi Tribe of Louisiana appears to have hit hard times at its casino. For the first time in 20 years, the tribe suspended revenue sharing payments. That's because the Paragon Casino Resort has been operating at a net loss, The Avoyelles Journal reported. Under its Class III gaming compact, the tribe agreed to share 6 percent of the net profits with local communities. No payments have been made since the third quarter of 2013. “For the first time in 20 years, they claimed that in the last quarter they operated at a net loss,” District Attorney Charles Riddle told The Avoyelles Journal . “If that’s the case, then you ... can’t take anything off the top of nothing and any percent of nothing is nothing."
