Connecticut's two federally recognized tribes reported declines in slot machine revenues for the month of March 2014.
The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal
Nation saw $44.59 million in slot revenue at Foxwoods Resort Casino. That represented a 10 percent drop from March 2013.
“The numbers are a sign of the times,” Foxwoods President and CEO Scott Butera said in a press release. “We are in the midst of an ultra-competitive market place. We will continue to move forward with the plan that we have in place to solidify Foxwoods as an industry leader with world-class amenities and unrivaled customer service.”
The Mohegan Tribe didn't do so
well at the Mohegan Sun either.
Slot revenues were $51.89 million, a decline of 12 percent from March 2013.
