The new leader of the Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut faces a deposition as part of a gaming disagreement in Massachusetts.

Chairman Kevin “Red Eagle” Brown, who also serves as chairman of the board for the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority, is due to testify about the tribe's deal to build a commercial casino in western Massachusetts. The owner of that site claims the tribe breached a contract by pursuing a different casino in the eastern part of the state.

The tribe won local approval for the $1.3 billion Mohegan Sun Massachusetts. The tribe pursued that plan after voters rejected the western Massachusetts project.
