The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut unveiled plans for a $400 million casino in the Catskills region of New York.

The Foxwoods Catskills Resort Casino would be located on 1,200 acres of a former resort. Plans call for a 400-room hotel, a 7,500-square-foot spa, a 27-hole golf course, a sports complex, an equestrian center and a marina.

Voters in the state approved a referendum [PDF: Proposal 1] to authorize up to seven casinos. The Catskills region would get two licenses.
