Gambling Compliance: Ten states looking at Internet gaming

Ten states are looking to authorize or expand Internet gaming, according to a survey by Gambling Compliance.

Online wagering is legal in New Jersey, Nevada and Delaware. California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Jersey and Pennsylvania are considering getting into the game, the survey said.

Federal law bars Internet gaming unless it is conducted under a Class III gaming compact or under state law.
