Column: Tribal casinos in New Mexico provide relaxation too

Columnist shares goings on at tribal casinos in New Mexico:
The holidays are around the corner and as much as I love the actual celebration days – crowded stores, traffic and the icy-cold chill outside can put a damper on my pre-holiday cheer.

The chaos that can precede the holidays sometimes makes me wish I could temporarily disappear to a quiet, discreet place without cellphones, overeager shoppers and aggressive drivers. Thankfully, a sanctuary is not too far away.

Sandia Resort & Casino is offering exactly what the doctor ordered with its Winter Warmth Pass that allows you 10 visits to its Green Reed Spa through March 31 for only $159. This package is a $350 value.

The Winter Warmth Pass includes access to its hot and cold plunge pools, steam room, dry sauna, relaxation lounge and fitness center. And, Sandia Resort & Casino even throws in a private locker, robe and spa slippers. Access is available from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, with the exception of Feb. 11 through Feb. 18.

Ahh, I can feel my stress fading away just thinking about it.
