Stillaguamish Tribe to start work on $20M expansion at casino

The Stillaguamish Tribe of Washington will break ground on Friday on a $20 million casino expansion project.

The tribe is adding a five-story, 125-room hotel to the Angel of the Winds Casino. There will also be a new gift shop, smoke shop and renovated main entrance.

Construction is expected to take 14 months. "I would like to see a grand opening maybe on New Year's Eve of 2014," general manager Travis O'Neil told The Everett Herald.
